One
Sewing machine each is provided for self-employment at free of cost
to Ex-Servicemen who are tailors by trade, and widows who know tailoring.
Their annual income should be less than Rs.18000/- Ex-Servicemen residing in Kerala and undergoing pre/post release training in ITI’s are being paid a stipend at the rate of Rs.250 per month during their post release training period. Rehabilitation training to Ex-Servicemen The
scheme is meant for imparting training to the Ex-Servicemen for
employment opportunities. The Scheme covers the courses in dairy,
poultry, khadi & village industries, IT based courses or any
other courses. 50 % of the course fee or Rs.1500 whichever is less
will be paid to the training institution. A stipend of Rs.500/-
will be paid to the trainee. According to the scheme, those who have undergone the above courses are eligible for a stipend of Rs.3000/- (rupees three thousand only) or actual course fee whichever is less. The payment will be made only after completion of the course. The ex-servicemen whose income exceeds Rs.50,000/- p.a are not eligible.
