House Building Grant  

House building grant of Rs.70,000/- is given to disabled and boarded out Ex-servicemen, Ex-recruits/Widows of Jawans killed in action and died in harness. Annual income limit is Rs.50,000/-.  War widows and War disabled soldiers are exempted from income limit.

House Building Grant

Amount admissible:  Rs.70, 000/-

Eligibility: 

  • Disabled and boarded out Ex-Servicemen, Ex-recruits/Widows of Jawans killed in action and died in harness and having annual income below Rs.50,000/-( No income bar for War disabled solders and War widows)

Application in prescribed form to be submitted along with:

 Copy of the discharge certificate duly attested.

 Disability certificate obtained from the record officer concerned

In the case of widows service particulars of late Jawan obtained from the Record Office.

Certificate of the village Officer stating that the applicant does not own or owned a house in the village during the past three years from the date of issue of certificate.

 'No house certificate' of late Jawan obtained from the village officer in the case of widow.

 Declaration from the applicant that he/she does not own or owned a house anywhere in the State.

Plan and detailed estimate of expenditure of the proposed building certified by an Assistant Engineer PWD or Block (Amount certified to be checked up with the application)

 Possession and enjoyment certificate obtained from the Tehsildar and a similar declaration from the applicant in the case of those who own a house site of their own.

Latest land tax receipt in respect of the property.

 Income certificate obtained from the village officer not earlier than six months from the date of application.

Declaration from the applicant that he/she does not availed house building grant sanctioned under GO (MS) No.58/78/GAD dated 24-01-78 earlier duly signed by the Zila Sainik welfare Officer concerned.

 Declaration from the applicant whose estimate of the proposed building exceeds Rs.50, 000/-Stating that the amount exceeds will be met by the applicant.

 In the case of those who do not own a house site of their own:

A statement from the owner of the land that he proposed to sell it to the disabled ex-servicemen/widow for a consideration of (the amount should be specified)

Certificate from the village Officer concerned that the land in question is not encumbered to the best of his knowledge and belief and

 A similar certificate from the owner of the land.

Copy of death certificate of the late-soldier.

Grant for repair of dwelling huts to Ex-servicemen and widows of Ex-servicemen.

An one time grant of Rs.5000/- is given to eligible Ex-Servicemen/Widows whose annual income is below Rs.30,000/- subject to other eligibility conditions specified.

Housing Scheme

Preference is given to the application of Ex-Servicemen for allotment of land under the Housing Scheme, House or house sites are allotted on priority basis by the State Housing Board to Ex-Servicemen on payment of cost.

Allotment of NGO Quarters

Preference in allotment of NGO quarters to the wives (NGO) of Jawans who are reported missing and dead, and wives of (NGO’s) of Jawan actually stationed in the boarder areas.

Priority is given in allotment of Government Quarters for re-employed Ex-Servicemen in State Government Service.
