of Telephone connection to defence personnel Ex-servicemen and
dependents of deceased soldiers under non-OYT-Special Category

In
recognition of the services rendered to the nation, sit has
been decided that the Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen shall
be allowed to register their demand for one telephone connection
under Non-OYT-Special category provided they do not have any
other telephone connection working in their names)
The
facility shall be admissible to the spouse/dependents in case
of the death of the defence personnel/Ex-servicemen with the
condition that no other telephone connection is working in
their names. Concrete steps should be taken to check the authenticity
of the applicants to avoid the misuse of the facility.
Efforts
should be made to provide telephone connections to such registrants
within a week after the issue of OB; subjects to technical
feasibility
