Financial Assistance from Chief Ministers Sainik Welfare Fund

Eligibility:

Dependent of defense personnel killed in action (War/Warlike operation) and

 to the disabled and injured in such operation or their dependents.

Amount Admissible:

Killed in action in Op Vijay/Op Rakshak III In J&K------------------------->Rs.5 lakhs

Killed in  action other than in OP VIJAY/OP Rakshak III----------------->Rs.2 lakhs

Disabled or injured seriously ------------------------------------------------------->-up to Rs.1 lakhs according to the gravity of injury.

(In the case of married deceased soldier

Amount will be apportioned between the wife and

 parents of the deceased in the ratio 3:1)

How to apply

• Application to be submitted to Zila Sainik Welfare Office concerned along with:

Ø     Application in annexure I

Ø     Attributability certificate from competent authorities in annexure II

Ø     Application from the parents in annexure III

Ø     Nativity certificate of deceased soldier from Tehsildar

Ø     Relationship cum dependency certificate of the wife (applicant) of the deceased soldier from Tehsildar.

Ø     Relationship cum dependency certificate of the parents of the deceased soldier from Tehsildar

Ø     Consent from the spouse that he/she have no objection in receiving the financial assistance by the applicant.

Ø     If spouse is not alive the death certificate.

• Zila Sainik Welfare Officer will verify and forward the case with his recommendation to the Director, Sainik Welfare.  Director after proper scrutiny will recommend the case to the Government.
